What is your Etsy shop name?
BEADTOPIAVINTAGE
How did you come up with that name?
For many years I sold under the name BEADTOPIA on ebay, but when I got to etsy it was already taken. So I wanted to emphasize the vintage aspect of my shop, which is probably 95% vintage, and my shop name represents that.
What sort of crafting supplies do you sell?
I love vintage everything that relates to jewelry and over the top creative people. So I usually have in stock beads, brass stampings and filigree, old parts for reuse and repurpose (they make excellent bases for new jewelry creations), plastics, clasps and one of a kind things.
Favorite website(s) aside from Etsy?
Craigslist, Facebook
Do you craft yourself? If so, what do you like to make?
I do. I started out by making jewelry and that is how I ended up buying out two old jewelry stores and suppliers. I love making runway style larger necklaces and artistic necklaces out of found and unusual objects.
Please tell us one thing that nobody would know about you.
I can be shy and I am also a semi professional singer.
What is your favorite thing to make for dinner?
Any healthy and non-fat item that I can make in my Rival slow cooker.
What goals do you have for your shop over the next year?
I would like to maintain the amount of sales I have. I really do not plan to expand much, as I have a pretty good balance of being able to put on items and fill the orders.
My next show is in March 2011.
