What is your Etsy shop name? What sort of crafting supplies do you sell?
We are ForetTwo - Extraordinary Vintage and Supplies. ForetTwo is your source for vintage beads, stone beads, cabs and cut gemstones, textiles, metal beads, shell, stampings, cinnabar, mineral specimens … lots of cool stuff!

What's your favorite item/line that you sell?
Hard to say. Mainly, I love it when a customer is thrilled with what they find in my shop. Seems that not that many people carry amber, so those sales are special.

Street clothes or Pajamas?
Both, sometimes at once.

Biggest indulgence or guilty pleasure?
Single malt scotch.

Favorite food?
Anything with green chili on or in it.

Favorite website(s) aside from Etsy?
http://www.enterprisemission.com/ If you like weird science and things like that, you will LOVE this website! Favorite craft website (not Etsy)? I am really digging the look and feel of 1000markets although I have not had any sales there yet. It is a great concept.

What goals do you have for your shop over the next year?
#1- Learn SEO and apply it to my own websites as well as creating another income stream by optimizing for others, #2- Sell my art, photography and digital art online, #3- Get my astrology website (for which I have had the domain name for three years, ahem..) up and running, #4- Move to the next great place which is awaiting me!, #5- Find my son a new agent and get him launched in film/TV, and #6- Become active in immigration law reform.

Periodically, we'll post interviews with members of the Etsy Supply Street Team. This week, get to know a little about SuppliesForU. Linda offers all types of supplies for art pendants, from scrabble tiles to resin cab supplies. And, if I didn't know better, I'd have sworn these were my own answers!

What do you sell?
Mostly jewelry supplies; pendant trays, resin molds, memory/art frame pendants, charms, scrabble tiles, necklaces and more.

What's your favorite item/line that you sell?
Pendant trays, resin molds and scrabble tiles.

How did you choose your user name?
I wanted something with the word supplies in it since that is what I sell. I went through a few that were already taken and settled on suppliesforu.

Street clothes or Pajamas?
Street clothes.

Biggest indulgence or guilty pleasure?
Sitting down to watch TV with my nighttime snack.

Favorite food?
Shellfish; blue claw crabs and lobster.

What are your plans/goals for 2009?
To build up my shop and possibly sell in a few more places.

A Super-Quick Super Simple Tutorial

I originally posted this tutorial on my blog, but have agreed to share it here. I've been wearing my bracelet all over town and get tons of compliments on it.


I've been looking at these sequins for 6 months, thinking that they'd make cool jewelry. Today, I finally sat down and did something with them!



Here's what you need to make your own -

• 1 pkg of the above sequins, available in my Etsy shop. One package should make 2 bracelets. You could also get two packages and make a necklace.
• 1 clasp - I used a silver snap clasp for ease of use.
• Jump Rings - I used 7 (seven) 6mm jump rings.
• Pliers for opening jump rings

How to make it -

1. Using your pliers, open a jump ring. Link two donut sequins, through the small holes along the edge, using a jump ring. Close the jump ring.
2. Open another jump ring. Connect another sequin to the chain of two you've started. Close jump ring. Repeat until bracelet reaches your desired length. I used 6 sequins.
3. Once your bracelet reaches your desired length, open another jump ring. Use this to connect your clasp to one end of the sequin chain. Repeat with the opposite side of the clasp and other end of the sequin chain.
4. Voila! You have a very cool, very bold, very lightweight bracelet!
   
   Make sure that you don't have a twist in the sequin chain. If this happens, simply open one jumpring and untwist the chain. This may happen when you add the clasp.
